The Newnan-Coweta Humane Society thought long and hard before naming our mobile adoption unit.
We wanted the name to reflect who we are and what we stand for as an organization. Therefore, we christened our unit
"'MARTHA". MARTHA stands for Mobile Adoptions and Rescue
Transport Helping Animals.
MARTHA has a very clear cut job - that is to help our organization rescue
and transport more animals, reach more adoptors, educate more school children and be an asset to our community.
MARTHA was purchased in part with proceeds from the Newnan Junior Service
League's Paws and Claws Ball and Silent Auction which was held in February, 2004. We would like to extend a heartfelt
"thank you" to the Newnan Junior Service League for their generous support of our organization.
