These pets were once homeless and in kill shelters. Thanks to our volunteer foster
homes, they were given a second chance and now......well, they say pictures are worth a thousand words........

| Eugene's new mommie LOVES him! |

|
| Eugene is going HOME!!! |
|
"Eugene" was once know as #06073115 at Coweta Animal Control. His new
family writes.....
"A-14 now
named Eugene went home to his adopter. He is housebroken and walks well on the leash. He knows sits on command and shakes
hands."

"Brodie" was once know as #06071705 at Coweta Animal Control. His new
family writes.....
"He is doing great. My wife named
him Brodie. He is sweet and gentle and loving. He was nervous at first almost as if he had this sadness about him. I think
he was wondering if we were going to keep him or not. He has people around him all day long ... My in-laws came up today and
love him too! He is also doing well with our cat, although the cat doesn't like him much, he tries to play with the cat, but
of course the cat doesn't have much of a sense of humor.
We think we have a special dog. he is sensitive and loving
and a wonderful addition to our family!
Thank-you!"

"Duke" was once know as #06071108 at Coweta Animal Control. His new
family writes.....
"Dakkar is doing great. We changed
his name to Duke and he already knows it. He loves his "older brother" Luke and the play all day long and have a great time.
We will send a picture as soon as I upload them."

"Toby" was once know as #06071033-1 at Coweta Animal Control. His new
family writes.....
"Well so far so good. Although
we have changed his name to Toby. It is easier for my son to remember and the puppy seems to respond better to it. I know
you didn't have much info on him when we adopted him, but he seems to be very afraid of everything, except my 7 yr old son.
The love seems to go both ways. Toby does not know how to play and is afraid to try. We are trying to draw him out and are
starting to see a small difference there. He has gotten to know the layout of the house and seems to be alittle more comfortable
every day. But still will not tackle the stairs (up or down)... Overall we couldn't be happier with our adopted new pup. We
often wonder who is luckier, us to have such a good puppy or him to have a home."

| Graycie really has a reason to smile now! |
|
"Graycie" was once know as #06070513 at Coweta Animal Control. Her
new family writes.....
"Hello....she is doing really
well. On Sunday we all took her to the park and she loved it. Today we took a ride back to the pet store for more toys...it
seems her favorite game is tug of war and already tore apart her first toy. She is getting along very well with our cats and
our neighbors dogs. She's very curious about everyone and everything. She already has her favorite spot on the couch. Will
definitely keep in touch and keep you updated. Looking forward to the reunion in Sept."

| "My life is full of sweet dreams....thank you Ms. Suzi!" |
|
"Griffin" was once know as #06070515 at Coweta Animal Control. Thanks
to a kind hearted rescuer (you know who you are Suzi), Griffin has a second chance at life, love and a FOREVER home.
Below is an excerpt from his forever family....
"Hi there ~
Just wanted
to give you a quick update on Griffin. He is adjusting well to family life. He has been a very good boy and learning his manners.
He likes to be by our side. Last night he slept the entire night with our son. I guess he missed his snuggle buddy at the
shelter ... Thanks for a great experience. The newest member of our family is wonderful!!"

"Freddy's" mom Glinda lets us know how happy she is with her new addition (and
vice versa!).
Hi guys! Here's a couple
of shots of Freddy with his new hair cut! (you might want to blow this up to 100%) He's doing just great and such
fun to have around. Another shot is on the way with Katie and Freddy together so you can see how much they look
alike! Thanks so much for everything!

"Jamie", formerly known as "Lina" when she was a NCHS foster, has a wonderful new
family and happy life ahead!
Just wanted you to know that
Jaimie (formerly known as Lina) is getting along great. She has adapted well to her new surroundings and gets along well with
Sophie (dog), Suzy (dog) and Joe (cat) . Joe isn't too pleased to have another kitty around, but he's getting used to her.
He's only two so it shouldn't take long for them to bond.
She is quite the athlete and
we have to watch her constantly. She demands to be around people and is already sleeping through the night with me - purring
in my ear. And last night she even left at one point to use her litter box so she's totally housebroken.
I would send you a picture, but she won't stay still long enough - I got a great picture of our baker's
rack though!
Just wanted you to know the Jaimie (formerly known as Lina) has a
great forever home and we have a great forever cat.
We'll keep in touch and when
I get a pic, I'll send it along.
Thanks for everything,
Donna

"Cooper", formerly known as "Simon" when he was a NCHS foster, finds a home in NY!!!
(Cooper is pictured on the left)
My name is Becky and my family
and I are adopted Simon. What a love of a dog! We are thrilled with him and he is settling is so nicely in our
home. My two children (ages 10 and 13) adore him, and so does our 8 year old dog Mugsy. The dogs really enjoy
each other and have a lot in common. They are both affectionate, playful, gentle and certainly know how to enjoy
their creature comforts (i.e. couches and beds)!
Simon certainly won't have to
spend time outside here if he doesn't want to! We have a large fenced in backyard and he & Mugs spend some time
out there, but more inside with us. It sounds like that makes sense in light of his background.
He is very attached to me and
follows me everywhere -- did he do that with you? The more comfortable he gets with our routine, I've noticed he has
relaxed a little and doesn't do it quite as much, which is a good sign I think.
We have fantastic places nearby
where we love to hike in the woods with the dogs. Thanks for taking such good care of him those two months. It's only been a week and two days
and we can hardly imagine life without him. You can rest assured he will be loved and probably spoiled rotten!
Thanks,
|

"Kiwi", formerly known as "C-10" at Coweta County Animal Control, found a fur-ever
home!!!!
We adopted a long-haired gray cat, declawed from Coweta County back in September. At that time he was known as "C-10",
but now his name is Kiwi. As you can see in the attached picture, he gets along famously with our dog, Lacey (also a
rescue). We wanted to give you a quick update on Kiwi's new life of leisure.
After a bath, some brushing and TLC, Kiwi is doing well. He enjoys sleeping on the bed and watching
the birds and ground squirrels out the windows. He's a sweet cat who loves to cuddle and rolls over for tummy rubs.
His upper respiratory infection cleared up on it's own with some rest and relaxation out of the cage. He's been a terrific
new member of the family. Our girls and the baby love to watch him and he even comes in to say good night to them as
we tuck them in at night. We're so glad that he was featured on your website and that we took the time to see him.
Thank you,
Barbara

"Gypsy's" family gives us a happy ending update!
Hi,
We adopted a black and white kitten yesterday, 30/07/06 at your Petco adoption center (Peachtree City)
and we would like to let you know that this adorable little baby kitten is doing just fine. She is very well socialized,
very loving and playful and seems to be in good health. I have attached a picture of Gypsy on her first day at
her new home.
Thank you for taking good care of your pets.

"Lenny & Squiggy" have found their forever homes! A little spoiled now maybe??
We adopted Lenny and Squiggy in May. They are now our true babies and couldn't be happier. They love going for walks to
Petsmart, eating Greenies, car rides, and playing in the park. They also love their two kitty siblings. They are true
cuddle-masters and can't get enough attention.
Thank you so much for allowing us to adopt them.

"Josie" has found her forever home and is now known as "CoCo"
Our CoCo
is loving her new home. She is sitting here at my feet while I am working at my computer. We just can't believe
this little doll was left in a shelter. We feel very fortunate to have her and will spoil her just as we have our Brandy,
who has really taken to her despite an initial "who is this coming into my home and taking up all my mom and dad's attention."
They slept together last night at the foot of our bed all cuddled up.
Once again, thank you for everything, especially
all the good you do to help these little ones (and big ones) to have a good life.
All the best, Judy

"Roosevelt" once known as B-14 06021614-1 at Coweta County Animal Control....
Just want to let you know that A-10, the beautiful, sweet male chocolate lab is doing fine. We've named him Roosevelt.
He's housebroken, he loves to ride in the car, is wonderful on a leash, he's doing great with our senior dog and not so bad
with our cat. He has heartworms, unfortunately, but is getting his first treatment today. Thank you so much for
all you are doing on behalf of the animals! We promise we'll give Roosevelt a loving forever home!

Felice (once known as Babs) on her throne....she is now a queen...
Hi,
I adopted "Babs" from you last Saturday and I wanted to give you an
update on how she is doing. Babs is now named Felice, because we needed something very girly and royal for her. She
is not your average cat, she is a queen and wants to be treated as such. She refuses to sleep on the kitty beds because
those are beneath her, we only sleep on the royal red couch and in mom's bed. She likes to play with catnip toys, and she
is slowly becoming good friends with Oliver. She is definitely an alpha kitty and your highness does not wish to be
distrubed during her beauty nap by Oliver, or else she'll whack him on the head as so to continue her beauty sleep.
We
just LOVE her!
Thank you for letting us have her!
Sincerely Judith Johnson

Autum Henry in "his" seat...
Thank you Shelter Rescue!
Autumn Henry is an absolutely wonderful little guy! As you can see in the picture his
favorite activity in the whole world is to sit in our vintage VW camper while my husband works on it. Henry never
misses an opportunity to go for a ride. He even went with us to Callaway Gardens to the Festival of Lights. He
loves to go for walks around the local lake sniffing everything. We learned the hard way that he has a passion for rolling
in stinking things, especially things around the lake like dead fish and goose droppings. Yuck! It's a good thing he
doesn't mind baths!
We adopted Henry right before Christmas. The very next day we traveled to a Christmas
gathering and took Henry with us. He politely tolerated all the hugs and kisses from the six kids - even the occasional
hair pull from our 18 month old niece. He situated himself under her seat at dinner time. How did he
know she was at the food throwing stage? He made out like a king and from that moment on stayed close to her.
As our two boys opened their presents on Christmas morning he fell asleep in the middle of the papers not taking a bit of
notice of the chaos around him. He received some squeaky toys, which he loved. We had to laugh those first few
nights when at promptly 9:00 p.m. Henry would put himself into the crate. If we were in the room at that time, he would
give us a look like, 'Aren't you going to bed?". He has now settled into our routine and goes to bed as my husband and
I shut down the house each night.
Thank you for saving Henry's life. He is the center of our home and we are so in love
with him. I am amazed as he looks at me with those soulful eyes when I scratch his ears that he was once unwanted.
He is such a good, well mannered dog and we are thrilled to have him as a member of our family!

Snickers was given the name Tessa on her first day with us and she just did not care for that name.
She has since become RILEY and she let us know that it was the perfect name for her. My family is
so thankful that one of your volunteers saved Riley and we are so glad that we saw her picture on your website.
Riley is such a sweet girl. She is really smart and has already learned to sit on command and
wait for her leash to be put on. She loves to play and is really a snuggle-bug. My son was home from college
for Thanksgiving and thought that she was just the neatest dog. He said that he was kind of sad to go back to school
because he was not going to be here to see her grow up!
Thanks again for saving Riley!

Update
from Max's new family - Max was adopted from Coweta County Animal Control
I just wanted you
to see that I am happy now. My mommy and daddy took me to the Vet yesterday. I don't have any worms anymore.
The Vet gave me lots of shots and my mommy and daddy wanted me to have an ID chip so I will
never get lost again. See my new tags on my new collar. I am so happy. I have lots of toys and lots of petting
and I love being inside too.
I forgot to tell you that after I got adopted last week my mommy and daddy took me up to Cumming,
Ga. to the Humane Society of Forsyth County and adopted me a brother. His name is Oakley. My mommy
saw him on Petfinder.com too and fell in love with him too. So we are both very lucky little fellows.
We get along great and have lots of fun together playing with all the new toys we got.
We both had to go to the Vet yesterday and since we were both such good boys we got to go to Petsmart after our appointment
and got new chew toys.
I just wanted you to know that after one week in my new family I am happy and loved and have
fun chasing the birds and squirrels in my huge fenced yard. My mommy or daddy go outside with us and one day I
ran out the door and saw a squirrel and I ran and jumped over the pool, but didn't quite make it, so my daddy watched me leap
high into the air and plop down into the pool. I found out that I can swim! My daddy got me out of the pool. I
guess I looked pretty funny leaping in the air but I guess that's why they go outside with us to make sure we stay safe.
I still chase those squirrels though!!
Please keep doing the great work helping other doggies find homes.
Doggie hugs and slobbery kisses,
Max

We just wanted to give you a
update on Sugar (aka Abigail/Abby) - who has quickly made herself at home here. You are right, she is so sweet. Allison
just loves her and made her a bed out of a silk robe and small stuffed animals, although sugar slept on
allison's bed (actually on her pillow/hair). We've been so busy enjoying her we haven't even taken any pictures yet, but will
soon and send you. Meco, our older cat, has his feelings hurt about the new kitty, but we're giving him plenty of attention
too. Smokey, the dog, just can't understand why she is getting hissed at, so we're introducing everyone to each other slowly.
Just thought you'd like to hear how well Sugar/Abby is doing!

We cannot imagine anyone not wanting Maggie as we are so happy to have her!
She has been a pleasure and is so loving. We just love to look at her as she is so cute
and sweet with the most beautiful eyes.
We have had Maggie just three weeks today and feel as though she were always with us.
I have many pictures but just the first ones that we took are on the computer and I have forwarded
one of those to you.
I have recommended shelter pets to friends who are also looking for a wonderful pet. It
is heartbreaking to see all of the pets that are not adopted and we are so grateful that we found
Maggie and that she can be in the "Happy Tail's" section of your website.
Thank you for all of the wonderful work that you and all of those involved in rescuing
and caring for these wonderful pets.
Valerie, John & Maggie
With a special thank you from Maggie!!!
PS: We have 9 grandchildren and Maggie is wonderful with them as well as the pets who visit with
them! We are so lucky!!!

Henry.........from a southern kill shelter to the big city....NYC!!!
This sweet fella was on his very last days at animal control. His new family saw his picture
on the internet and the rest is history.
"Henry" now lives in New York and has a loving family to call his own. Congratulations,
Henry, you hit the forever family jackpot.
Henry's Mom & Dad write............
I'm checking in to send you the promised photos. In
these Henry is with his Daddy, and you can see how much he loooves his Daddy!! Already on his 5th day in New York and
Henry has learned so much. We
had a bit of trouble getting the walking thing down, as you all know Henry is a typical teenage boy. But
no worries, we got someone from Bark Busters in here!! He came today and we learned so many great
things. Henry is a fast learner and a total show off! We're guessing that in a couple of weeks
he'll be right up to speed. My oh my how that nice guy tired him out. Henry is now sleeping on his blanket
,
surrounded by all his toys. He doesn't know it yet, but in a little while he is going to get a new one. Another
stuffed toy, how he loves
to play with those, especially while on his back twirling it around with his long legs. Henry sleeps the nights
through on his blanket and loves his morning walk/run. Upon returning he gobbles down some
breakfast and more water and a little while later it's back out. He already knows where to pee and such and
has only had an accident in the house on the first day that he got here. We are very lucky to have him. And
now that we've learned how to train the rest will come with time.
Some of Henry's favorite things: snuggles, walks/runs, playing with other dogs, jumping at the birds, chew
toys, catching flies, being groomed. Every day is so brand new with him. The next time I check in it will
be with a photo of Henry outside, walking like a true Gent. I have no doubt he has it in him!
We love Henry and I think that he loves us too.

Mulligan.........you lucky dog!!!
"Cornbread" now renamed "Mulligan" was rescued from a local kill shelter. He was found in
the back of the shelter with his time at an end! The Newnan-Coweta Humane Society rescued him and placed him
in our foster care program.
This precious fella quickly found a home.....and not just any home. Mulligan found
the BEST home!!! Mulligan is now safe and sound and getting LOTS AND LOTS of love. Just read what his family recently
wrote:
Hi Donna,
Just wanted to let you know that Mulligan is doing so GREAT in
our family!! He's a good boy in his crate all night long ... as you said, he'll whine nice & quiet once in the morning
when he's ready to get out, at which time we uncrate him and let him jump into our bed for snugglies. Well, he thinks
it's time for us to rub his belly (which we do), and for kisses (which we all share), and he gives me about 10 minutes' time
to fully wake up before I hit the floor.
And then . Mr. Mulligan needs to "help" Mom get dressed, put socks
and shoes on, etc. , before he and I hit the streets for a 30-45 minute walk on the hills here. Who's walking who,
good question? I think we share who's ahead!
I've signed us up for 6 Saturday mornings of obedience training
... for Mulligan AND for Mom! I love the woman I've been talking to who does the class ... she's a soft-spoken psychologist,
and I've watched her work with her animals and people behind our vet's office, so I know she's good. She kept me on
the phone for over 1/2 hour before I agreed to sign us up. Of course, we're due for an ice storm Saturday, so the class
may well be postponed.
Meantime, we are SO happy to be a family WITH DOG again!!!
It was too funny a couple of nights ago when he discovered his "shadow" in the plate glass doors on the back of our living
room, and he spent the rest of the evening growling to make the big bad outside doggie go away. We'd turn out the living
room lights, so he sat there confused ...where did that doggie go? Then we turned on the outside light and BANG, there
was that dog but how did he get there so quick? All three of us had a good time playing that game for awhile ... and
he sure is ready for any games!
Donna, I hope you let the kill-shelter guy know that Mulligan found
his forever family, and I hope you've found some other great dogs whose lives you have saved. I really admire the work
you do every day ...
So I'm in my office at my computer, and Bill and Mulligan are sacked
out on the couch "watching" TV. Cuddling is more like it. I love it!!
My artist friends are supposed to start drawing our doglet this
weekend if the ice storm doesn't come . I'll be sure to let you know how all of that turns out.
Keep me posted when you get that website up and running because
I'd like to see it.
